About Holiday Lights
Whether you’re a local resident or just visiting for a few days—stop by Uptown Main Street Holiday Lights to explore, shop, and dine this holiday season.
The businesses within Uptown Main Street will be decked out with holiday lights from November 18 to January 8. Wander the corridor with neighbors and visitors to enjoy amazing holiday events and promotions throughout the month. Then cast your vote for your favorite light displays between November 18 and December 11 and your local businesses could win a cash prize.
Uptown Main Street Holiday Lights is part of a broader, citywide DC Holiday Lights effort encouraging residents and visitors to shop small and explore the District this holiday season. Starting November 26 you can participate in our citywide Holiday Lights Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win great prizes from local DC businesses!
How To Participate
Visit the Corridor & Vote for the Best Business Display
Starting November 18, take a walk around Uptown Main Street to see the holiday lights displays. Then, cast your vote for your favorite display and vote for Uptown Main Street as “Best of DC.” Voting ends December 10.
Participate in the DC Holiday Lights Scavenger Hunt
Starting November 25, participate in the citywide DC Holiday Lights Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win amazing prizes from local DC businesses.
