Mount Pleasant Holiday Market

The Mt. Pleasant neighborhood will become the District’s Holiday Village in the City for one day only, on Sunday Dec. 10 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. More than four dozen local artisans will line Mount Pleasant Street and Lamont Plaza, selling home décor, paintings, pottery, candles, vintage goods and other items to help fill all your shopping needs. The event, presented by the Mt. Pleasant Artists Collective, includes a special visit from Santa who will be available for pictures and to hand out free toys to children.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., We Are Artistic, a group of local high school kids, will host a card-making table where people can make free cards for the organization Cards For Hospitalized Kids and the ever-popular Museum of Sidewalk Stuff will have a display.

Businesses will be alit with Holiday Lights, a program designed by District Bridges. Hot cider and cocoa will be available for sale and local restaurants will provide a place for weary shoppers to rest their feet and grab a bite to eat. The event is free and open to all.
